About Clicia

By day, Clicia is a good value neighbourhood café; by night, a popular restaurant liked for its down-to-earth cosiness. Pretty lamps cast their multicoloured over an assortment of old mirrors and wall hangings. A simple Mediterranean menu of grills, fish, cassoulets, meze and vegetarian dishes tends to warm the heart as well as the stomach. A handful of tables outside beneath the green canopy allow for a decent spell of Stokey-watching when the weather’s fine.

At Clicia, we both had the Messe platter - 1 fish and 1 meat - a bottle of the house red wine and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening with good service in a colourful and interestingly decorated restaurant that we would both happily return to. The fact that it's popularity has declined a little, in this street full of eateries, is most probably due to the fact that it has been here a while, known for what it does; it does this well and with a certain panache. Worth going to and good value.

Excellent food and service at a very reasonable price. Well worth a visit.

Good food and wine at a very reasonable price. This restaurant never disappoints.

Clicia, Stoke Newington - this restaurant never disappoints. Good food and excellent service.

Three of us had dinner here last night & thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was delicious, the service perfectly attentive from afar, and the atmosphere delightful. Thoroughly recommend.

Clicia, Stoke Newington - excellent food and very attentive service.

This was by no means our first visit to Clicia in Stoke Newington. On this occasion we were part of a large group which was accommodated very easily. As usual the food was excellent and the service very good.

We visited Clicia in Stoke Newington as I had read some really good reviews about the place, and I'm sad to say we were disappointed. The seafood mezze platter wasn't great, tuna and salmon overcooked, only 2 prawns, some mackerel, one sardine and a bunch of heavily breadcrumbed fishies. I think they tried to serve all the food at once which caused the seafood to by dry. Vegetarian trojan horse was better, tasty tomato sauce, but nothing out of this world. Service was average too.

I went to Clicia in Stoke Newington with a friend for a girly dinner and were seated by the window. The interior is lovely decorated which adds to the great atmosphere. I would say the cuisine is Turkish rather than Mediterranean (as described on the website) which in fact is a compliment as the meals were delicious and arrived hot on the table :) We were being well looked after by the staff and I will be going back soon - this place is definitely worth re-visiting! Thanks Clicia :)

Been before, food and service always good. The staff were very polite and friendly. Will go again.

Really tasty food - excellent value. Average service and wine list is nothing special. A great place to go both for breakfast or in the evening.

Good atmosphere, friendly staff, good food and excellent location for stokey watching!

Clicia in Stoke Newington never disappoints. The staff are friendly and flexible and the food is always delicious. They easily acommodated another person joining us halfway through the meal and his order arrived very quickly. We will be back.

Clicia is a cheerful no frills little place - some nice tapas dishes - i dont think Michelin will be visiting anytime soon tho.

We had a lingering brunch here. Simple unpretentious cafe/restaurant with home-cooked food. Good traditional English options as well as Turkish, and good for veggies too. Service was good, we spent hours there and never felt rushed. Main meal, coffees and juice came to a tenner each. Can recommend.

Beautiful little restaurant. The food was absolutely fantastic and my vegetarian sister had a wealth of choice. Good menu variety and polite accommodating staff. Definitely recommend.

One of our favourite restaurants for lunch or dinner. Fantastic vegetarian options and lovely fresh fruit juices. They're always willing to make slight alterations to dishes without a fuss. Great value for money.

Second visit to Clicia and wasn't disappointed. Nice little resturant in Stoke Newington. Good for brunch and cosy feel in the evening.

Clicia in Stokey is a fave of mine, which is why I keep going back for more! The meat is deliciously tender, and the veggie options are mouth-wateringly delicious. And unlike some other raters on this website, I have always found the service impeccable - attentive without being too overbearing.

Lovely little restaurant enjoyed our meal very much. Would go back again.
