About El Camion

Tucked away in Brewer Street is El Camion, the Soho branch of Ned Conran’s – son of Terence – hip Mexican restaurant chain that is famous for its huge burritos and devilish cocktail list. This very central location combined with an interior that is all at once both dark and sleek, and kitsch and colourful, El Camion is the perfect venue for dates, pre-theatre bites, late night feasts and birthday parties. Decorated with brightly coloured tablecloths, flowers and a wall display of kooky hot sauces, El Camion is filled with quirky charm but the menu is classically Mexican with all of your favourites from tacos and quesadillas to salads and ice-cold Mexican beers thrown in for good measure.

We went for a group lunch and had the set lunch menu. There was some issue's with the waitress not understanding what 'gluten-free' meant, which resulted in her bringing out a pack of tortillas so we could read the ingredients! Other than that, the food was lovely and served quickly. The deco is fun and there is lots of look at.

El Camion in Soho is a fantastic find! I went on a Thursday night for a catch up with friends, and we managed to secure a booth downstairs to ourselves. We thoroughly enjoyed their cocktails and frozen daiquiri's are a must! The food was delicious and plentiful - I would definitely recommend the beef nacho's and burrito's. Great atmosphere and night out for a few drinks & eats with friends!

Great for big groups, reasonably spacious place which is unusual for Soho. The prices were a surprise - reasonably cheap.

We been for lunch and the place nice, the Burrito was delicious, fast and friendly service.

I can highly recommend El Camion! Cool atmospher!

The food and service were very good at El Camion. It's perfect for a lunch/dinner with friends. It's a relaxed atmosphere and not particularly flashy (some of the extras/starters comes in red plastic baskets) but the food makes up for that.

We had dinner at El Caminion in Soho London after a coctail making class around the corner. The staff was lovely and the food was nice. The cocktails were a little disappointing but then it is not a cocktail bar. We didn't stay around after but it looked like they were gearing up for a fun night of halloween celebrations.

Nice place. Food was good. Didn't notice the lunch special until after lunch.

Nice place to eat and had a good selection to pick from. The chilli sauce touch is nice. Something different to the usual at nandos etc

My wife and I went to El Camion in London last Saturday. Margarita cocktails were ok, but despite it mentioned on the menu that it was made using their margarita machine, it seemed like it was made using normal ice blocks. Food was ok too; I have tasted better. I had a fish burito, was a bit too salty for my taste, but still ok.

Great place for a first date and even for other times - fun and funky! Great decor, service was good and delicious food! Would definitely go back.

This is a great venue for some quality Mexican food with friends!

Great for lunch time with friends. Have lunch time special - beef burrito is awesome!!

Amazing food, great ambience!

El Camion in Brewer Street, London, was an atmospheric place with friendly and helpful waiters. The quesadilla portions were great but the tostados were not good value for money. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return, but it was a fun night, and the cocktails were tasty.

El Camion in Soho was a real gem. Small and homely, serving the most authentic Mexican food this side of Tijuana. As a chilli-head, this was heaven to me - with hundreds of bottles of crazy hot sauce to choose from, some of which grace my drawers at home. However, the 100% capsaicin spray was one step to brave for me....

This place is amazing !!! Get here and get here fast. The food was so delicious and had so much flavour it was astounding. Definitely not your average over cheesed Mexican place. You can not go wrong with eating here. They have all your favorites and a good selection of drinks to boot. I will definitely return soon and will make sure I tell everyone I know to go as well - it's that good ! The lunch special is also great value if you're around at that time. A firm favourite.

Food won't set the world on fire but good value, big portions and decent service.

El Camion was a lovely place to go for a team lunch. The service was a little bit slow but very much enjoyed by everyone!!

El Camion in Soho, London, is a cute little restaurant with great Mexican cocktails. My vegetarian nachos were disappointing as they had an overwhelming smoky flavour, I'm guessing from the type of chilli sauce that was used which was quite off-putting. Also two different staff members were asked to describe a particular white wine and neither could. The list is quite short. Everyone else enjoyed their meals which included chicken tacos and a shredded beef burritto. Enjoyable overall.
