About Filini Restaurant

Reached by an open staircase from reception, Filini is the chic, spacious, softly-lit restaurant of Birmingham’s eye-catching Radisson Blu Hotel. At one end are an open kitchen and a wood-fired pizza oven. Throughout are walnut floors, mirrors and floor-to-ceiling windows encouraging a sense of brightness and space. The menu is Italian, with an emphasis on quality ingredients and classic cooking techniques; diners can expect to be tempted by dishes like Carpaccio of beef with rocket salad and shaved parmesan cheese; or braised lamb shank in red wine. The menu features a range of antipasti (including three sharing options), risottos, pastas, pizzas and secondi such as sea bass with potato and guazzetto sauce. Customers rate the pleasant, welcoming ambience; capable and friendly service and quality Italian food.

We ate here on a Saturday evening and there wasn't much of an atmosphere as there were very few diners. Although the meal was good value when booked on the toptable offer, the food wasn't remarkable and the service was very slow. There was also a lot of confusion over what cards they coudl and couldn't accept and it took three attempts (on three different card machines) before we managed to pay for our meal. The pizzas however were tasty and cooked over a large wood-fired over.

Service not as good as usual due to staff not knowing very much about food or wines/

Good food...needs a bigger bar area through

Filini Birmingham. 50% off represented value for money. Food was uninspiring.

Filini,Birmingham. I had a 50% off food voucher so with that the price was reasonable. Had I paid full price I would have said it was a little overpriced. Staff were excellent. Pizza was a little soggy.

We booked Filini as it was close to the Hippodrome and we thought it would be quick and easy!! It was and far exceeded our expectations. We had the pre-theatre menu which was very nice and excellent value. The service was great and the staff very attentive. Would certainly go again and recommend it to anyone!

Nice food & friendly staff. We had he pre-theatre deal, which was very good value for money.

We made a last minute booking at Filini Birmingham and were not disappointed. Service was attentive and polite; the food well presented and tasty. Fairly priced, especially for a hotel restaurant. I recommend it.

Another fantastic meal at the Radisson Filini in Birmingham.

lovely atmosphere but unfortunately food not great - seabass did not taste very fresh and was overcooked, seafood risotto tasty but caused dodgy tummy. Probably would not come back, expensive without the offer anyway.

Filini Birmingham 7:00pm Saturday 50% off food deal. Highly recommended!

The food was fabulous. Portions were the right size and it all tasted delicious. Nice touch with the bread and oil/vinegar combo at the start. The wine also good. Seafood stew was wonderful if a little lopsided. I had one prawn (and a few bits of shell) but dozens of mussels. Would prefer a few of each - the fish in it was lovely, tasty and soft - cooked just right. Staff polite and attentive.

The restaurant at first glance is very impressive. But the unfortunately the food failed to reach the same standards. The 50% off deal was worth the visit!

We went to filini's restaurant a couple of weeks ago for an early evening meal- the food was very good and service excellent. I had the lamb chops which were succulent and full of flavour, whilst my girlfriend tried the fish stew which was equally good and very generous in portion size. The restaurant itself is very tasteful and would be perfect for a romantic evening meal.

Filini Restaurant, Birmingham. Went for the second time, and this time the food was a little disappointing. Had the squid starter which was nice and fresh, the plaice was underseasoned due to lack of pesto crust, dessert was mediocre as the chocolate fondant was a bit dry. Favourite part was the polenta side

We had a lovely evening at Filini's on Saturday night. The service was great, there was plenty of space for a wheelchair to wheele around. The restaurant had a very relaxed atmosphere and most of the food was lovely apart from the starters which hadn't been given much thought. Can't wait to try a tasty-looking pizza next time.

The Filini restaurant in Radisson Blu Hotel in Birmingham has a delightful ambience. The service was very good. The spaghetti with crab was excellent though the rissotto was slightly heavy. I would recommend this restaurant.

Filini Restaurant, Radisson Blu in Birmingham

Excellent decor,

Starter of Meat Antipasti was good.

the main courses are average.

We ate at Birmingham's Filini Restaurant last night and enjoyed it. The venue itself is lovely and stylish and the food was tasty. The service was excellent. As a group of four we were a bit disappointed with the size of the sharer antipasti in relation to its price - it's only really enough for two.
