About Il Cucciolo

Il Cucciolo could win an award for cuteness with its two arched fairy light-filled windows either side of a small arched door just up the street from Technicolor Piccadilly Circus. Inside is as cosy as you’d expect; neatly dressed tables subtly illuminated by faux candle wall lamps. Patient, polite staff expertly serves a modest range of traditional Italian pasta, meat, vegetarian, rice and fish dishes. Carefully-prepared specials change daily alongside a very good value set menu!

Excellent location for the Picaddilly theatre, and surrounding theatres. Great food, good service, very efficient. Would go again.

Il Cucciolo LondonDenman Street Took my sister here after the theatre. Greeted with a warm smile and so the good service continued. Food was very good will certainly return in the future. Owner (or manager) came to see us at the end of the meal to see if everything had been OK which I thought was a nice touch. A most enjoyable experience for the centre of London.

Nice staff, good service and home cooking food. Would recommend for pre theatre.

We had a lovely dinner at il cucciolo, London. It was perfectly placed 2 doors away from the theatre and was very cozy and inviting inside. Our food was all delicious. Four generous plates of pasta at a reasonable price. We would definately go again.

I went with two friends (first visit) for a pre-theatre meal. When we arrived there were only two tables occupied. By the time we left (1.5 hours later) the restaurant was packed out.

The food and service were both very good - and the staff very friendly. We will definitely visit again!

Well positioned friendly welcome traditional family Italian. Standard basic italian menu, very good protion sizes. Sauces a bit full on and rich for me personally. Limited number of specials, caters for pre theatre audience. Included service on the bill rather than leaving to discretion. Busy, more cosy alternative to Prezzo and other chains on Haymarket. Reasonably good value esp for area but not over inspiring.

Very friendly owner made me feel welcome. Nice food. Will go again!

Charming little Italian restaurant right in the middle of the West End. Service was very quick and friendly (with a very entertaining, loud waiter announcing each of our courses whenever they arrived!) and the food and drink were delicious. I'd thoroughly recommend for a pre-theatre dinner!

Il Cucciolo near Covent Garden Great for food, service, and overall ambience. Slightly let down by the loos, but this won't stop me going back.

II Cucciolo, Piccadilly. Small restaurant which became thriving within 5 minutes of us taking our seats. We were happy with the service and the food was really good. Would recommend. My mum was pleastantly surprised at being helped with her jacket by a member of staff that was seeing to tables at the time.

What a wonderful evening we enjoyed last night at II Cucciolo. We were there for pre-theatre meal and had booked a 6.30pm table for 4 people. We were warmly greeted and the service was wonderful, friendly and very efficient. Food was amazing, all four of us had different starters followed by different main courses, all of which were superb quality - generous portions, served hot and delicious tasting too - perfect! We will definately be going back- thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Il Cucciolo London W1 I went with my husband, daughter and son-in-law. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food is reasonably priced although the chicken I had was a little dry. The saute potates were very nice indeed. Wine good. I would not rush to back to this restaurant as I like to try different restaurants when I go to the theatre but I would not rule it out.

II Cucciolo is in a perfect location for the Piccadilly Theatre and Piccadilly Station. We went there before going to a show at the Piccadilly Theatre. This is a typical venue for a pre or after theatre meal which is what we were looking for. The food and wine was good and the prices reasonable for the location. This is not a place to go if you are looking for a classy restaurant though. It is cramped and there was a que of people at the door waiting for tables.

Visited Il Cucciolo for pre-theatre meal. Good atmosphere. It was early and we were given choice of table. Staff were friendly and attentive. Menu offered a good range but was not over-loaded, similarly the wine list. Well sized portions were served promptly. Quality was middle range and matched the prices - which is where the restaurant seems to set out to be. A good find in an area where fast food and chains dominate - unless you find something like Il Cucciolo. Will certainly re-visit.

Pleasant welcome - very convenient to Theatreland. We arrived a bit early - this was no problem to the restaurant. Good choice and very quick service. My seabass served with Crema di Balsamica was excellent and the spinach delicousl. Good experience and good value.

We chose Il Cucciolo as it was advertised as a traditional Italian restaurant. Red tablecloths and an Italian matron along with a menu full of classic Italian dishes made the venue as authentic as you can get in the London's West End. We chose grilled sardines, beef carpacio, and fish soup for starters which were really excellent, then veal, king prawn linguine and home made gnocchi for mains. The house red was also delicious. I certainly reccomend this restaurant for an informal meal.

Il Cicciolo, London is a friendly restaurant with lots of charm. The location in the heart of Theatre Land makes this an ideal venue for both pre and post theatre dining. We arrived somewhat later than planned, but nothing was too much trouble. If we have one negative comment it would be the TV in the restaurant doe snot need to be there and could easily be a little quieter!

Il Cucciolo Restaurant, London. We were given a warm welcome and shown straight away to our table. The restaurant was full and the order was taken immediately. Waiter was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the house wine and we chose our meal from the daily special menu. After eating the starter and main course we found that we were to full to have a starter. The wine and meal was delicious and the price reasonable. I certainly will recommend this restaurant to my friends.

A delightful experience in this traditional Italian restaurant. Very friendly with superb service but above all delicious food. All three of my guests were thoroughly impressed with food and atmosphere MEL Lewis

Booked this restaurant because it is so near Piccadilly Theatre. We booked for 6.00pm as Ghost the musical started at 7.30. We were showed straight to our table. It isnt a big restaurant so gets packed very quickly.Food was superb, and as we left there were people queuing...mostly Italians so it shows how good the food is! Only small grumble is that there is only 1 ladies toilet. Because it is so busy some ladies had to queue.
