Jazz Tandoori served OK food, but the service was poor

Jazz Tandoori in Brighton was good but not great, I organised to take a big party of friends there and it was fine. The menu is interesting, the food was very good and it was reasonably priced - however, the service was very attentive in taking drinks orders i.e. cranking up the bill, and very slow to take our orders, for the food to arrive and to bring the bill. Not a great deal of atmosphere - it's been refurbed recently and has lost much of the original character of what used to be the Agra.

Really wanted to like this restaurant overall as the service was very friendly. However, the food was a little disappointing and a lot was charged for some dishes which were very small and did not taste as they should. The decor is quite different to what it was when it had the previous name, and doesn't look that great. Was very quiet for a Friday night- us and one other table.

Excellent service, food okay

We went very early (6pm) and the place was empty, but as previos reviewer said, don't let that put you off. Menu is varied, service friendly and food very tasty. Would go again.

Quick meal at Jazz Tandoori. It was listed as three courses and a bottle of wine for £13.95 per head but we only got two courses, but still a good deal at £30 including tip. The food was pretty good but not the best Indian I have had. For the price tough a good experience.

We arrived to an almost empty restaurant, never a great starting point. However, the meal was very pleasant indeed. Kingfisher beer is always welcome and the food was excellent. For a work xmas dinner, with some fuspots in toe the meal impressed us all. Don't be fooled if the restaurant isn't busy, the food and service is very good!
