About Kua 'Aina

Kua ’Aina restaurant in London just off Carnaby Street is something entirely new in the Europe – a real Hawaiian restaurant, brother to the original Kua ‘Aina that has been serving surfers and tourists on Hawaii’s North Shore since 1975. That’s the place that President Obama heads to when he’s at home in Hawaii. The big, bold ‘Aloha’ mat, wooden flooring, bamboo roof, tropical ceiling fans and authentic surfboards all combine to create a relaxing, escapist atmosphere. The menu uses the highest quality ingredients to create hand-made half-pound burgers, char-grilled sandwiches, grilled mahi-mahi, wafu dressed salads, American-style fluffy pancakes and much more. Kua ‘Aina is full of the chilled-out spirit of real Hawaii, a perfect retreat to an island paradise.

Nice place, more of a cafe environment than restaurant. Good burgers, flame grilled to your liking and Hawaiian influenced decor inside. Bit cramped upstairs but seating available downstairs; you order & pay at the food bar on arrival. PS the fire-roasted chilli is an actual chilli rather than chili-con-carne. Worth a visit, I will probably go again.
