Absolutely brilliant meal - we had a set course lunch (one with oysters, one normal) and were brilliantly attended to throughout. The food itself was stunning - simple, basic but high quality ingredients, immaculately presented.

The service was unremittingly flawless.

This is a great place at lunchtime for a relaxed long lunch. Spacious, not busy (and even if it were, it's impossible to feel cramped in this environ). Not one for buzzing ambience in the middle of the day, but it suited us very well.

I'll be back.

Very pleasent restaurant - good service and reasonable cooking.

Went post-theatre. One of us had the offer - 3 oysters, main course, dessert, glass of wine. I had a la carte. Both good, without being extraordinary. Very opulent decor, pleasant ambiance.

The Massimo offers an interesting limited-choice menu, served well in elegant surroundings

On paper = good value @ £25 for a 3-course meal, however the portions are tiny compared even to other higher scale dining options

The Massimo Restaurant is beautiful, the restoration of the building just stunning. The staff are delightful and the 3 course lunch offer for just £25 is terrific value for money. The roasted monkfish was delicious. The wine waiter was a lovely man who recommended the perfect wines to accompany our food.

Massimo Restaurant at the Corinthia Hotel is a stone's throw from London's Embankment and Charing Cross Stations. The surroundings are beautiful. Service was very attentive and speedy. Food portions were small but excellent quality. Note that wine prices are high: the cheapest bottle of red cost more than the three course pre-theatre menu!

Excellent food, service and great venue

LOVED Massimo! I went there for a quiet birthday lunch and even though there were not many other diners, there was still a lovely atmosphere and the room is gorgeous. Every dish was exquisite and good value for the set menus. If you are going a la carte, try to med style raw fish starter. I know the dishes are small, but it's quality over quantity and the richness makes up for it (i.e. you don't leave feeling hungry). Service also impeccable. I'm trying to think up an occasion to go back!

Lovely setting, bigger than it appears in the photo. Was quiet when we first got there but buzzing by 8pm on a Sat night. Very glam venue and hotel, food was nice but not enough of it, still felt hungry after 3 courses and bread. They provided gluten free bread and made sure all my courses were gluten free with no compromise. They let us sit there and eat, drink and chat for 4 hours! Would def visit again

Massimo in London; a flashback to old world style, it felt rather like being aboard the titanic. The food was of a high standard and service friendly and swift. very good indeed.

Good food :0) poor service :0(

Truly excellent value for a top class restaurant that looks a million or two has been spent on the furnishings. Pleasantly quiet on a Saturday lunchtime.

Massimo Restaurant & Oyster Bar: the food is AMAZING and the staff are very attentive and friendly. It's one of my favourite restaurants in London. See you again soon.

We had a great time at Massimo. The food, even from the set menu, was very good and there was an extensive range of Italian wines. The venue is possibly one of the best in London.

This was my second visit and I was not disappointed. The £23 toptable meal deal is excellent. My one disappointment this time, however, was the almond sorbet which I returned to the kitchen and was replaced with another sweeter almond sorbet. Apparently the chef used a different almond essence which was stronger then s/he anticipated! Shame the chef did not think of tasting it before sending it out. My other two sorbets were spot on.

Massimo Restaurant & Oyster Bar - Corinthia Hotel London, 10 Northumberland Avenue, London A very stylish large restaurant with wonderful art-deco features and spectacular lighting. The food was tasty and well presented, though not a great quantity. The service was attentive and we'd certainly recommend it for a special meal or for a pre-theatre meal. The wine was a tad expensive, but it you are a seafood fan, then you'll not be disappointed with the food. The coffee could be hotter!

We went to Massimo's for the bar offer. Oysters were great, service and the ambience of the restaurant is excellent.

they need to talke the chef's slat shaker away. every dish was salty.

Had an enjoyable evening at Massimo; dined on the pre theatre menu, which was tasty, though small portions. Left slightly hungry after 3-courses. Lovely ambiance.
