An unassunimg entrance on Edinburgh's main street and a ride in a old fashioned lift takes you to the best 'restaraunt view' in the town. Booked for Friday night and took a window table with only 5 other diners present!. Service relaxed but proffessional and a two course deal provided satisfactory servings presented with style and of good quality. Well worth the visit for the setting alone but the food standards were up to the mark as well. Wine list reasonable priced as well.

My friends & I had Lunch @the Royal Overseas League in Princess St Edinburgh on Sat 5 May as always it was very good, My friend had the Lamb curry which was the best she had tasted , I had the brie &beetroot tort & boiled pots the pastry was exellent then the Desserts the mint domb was truly wonderfull, and at £11 very good value for two courses R Dickson

Restaurant 100 @ Royal Overseas League Edinburgh

As usual lovely food, friendly staff, stunning view, good value. not sure why more people don't go - perhaps they don't realise it's open to the public

Had lunch in the Edinburgh Room at the ROSL which is quite small - taking about 20 people in all. The main restaurant had a function. View is lovely across Prices St Gardens to the castle. After a problem with delivery of the ordered wine, service was very good and the fixed price 2-course menu reasonable but nothing to write home about.

dinner for two at the Royal overseas league, well, it was different, quiet, beautiful views, (Princes street and the Castle) and the food was ok. Not much else to say really, service was good, crepe suzette was good, but not outstanding! There was also a little kerfufflle at the end when paying the bill, waitress could not understand how we only had two mains but was charging us for two mains + two desserts!! Anyway all was sorted out in the end, slowly.

A big thank you to the team of restaurant! We had the Edinburgh Room all to ourselves due to the Titanic Dinner taking part in the main restaurant. Although a very busy evening for the team we enjoyed an attentive and very friendly service. The food was delicious, very nice presented and the Melot we had chosen from the wine menue was perfect. We would recommend this restaurant without any hesitations not only because of the magnificient view at the castle. We will go there again soon.

Absolutely amazing! Food fabulous, waiter amazing, loved the restaurant and the view. Would definatly go back!

Great food good service and stunning view!

Excellent value dining. Beautiful view, good food and outstanding service.

Good food, but waited for half an hour for main course.

I was reading the other comments about the scaffolding, came for dinner last night and all scaffolding is now away. The food was excellent as well as the service. Will defiantly return.

Great views and fabulous food would recommend to any age group! try the crepe Suzette #1

Restaurant 100 in Edinburgh is in excellent position with wonderful view

Restaurant 100 at the Royal Overseas League. We booked in advance and were shown into a delightful room with a table at the bay window overlooking Princes Street with magnificent views of the castle and old town. The waiter explained the main restaurant was being used for a reception and did we mind the change. The service was exemplary with extra freshly baked homemade rolls before and during the meal. The food was very good, and we couldn't fault the entire experience, we will be going back.

anniversary dinner with my wife left me feeling a bit let down. Waitress to start was nice however didn't look that interested. Soup and fresh bread was fantastic unfortunately it would go downhill after that. Steak and potatoes for mains. The steak sat ontop of a pile of tasteless watery potatoes that would have Been easier drinking than eating. To be fair they changed it for chips which was better although by the time I got it my wife had finished her dinner, not great. Wouldn't rush back

We booked dinner on saturday evening just myself and husband, menus and wine list given and also a bin end wine list so we ended up with a lovely bin end. I had King Prawns to start, then fillet steak and then we shared the crepe suzette which was flambed at our table. We were in a small dining room on our own which was lovely and romantic. Served free after dinner liquer too. Will definately be going back, the staff were very friendly and couldn't do anything more to make you feel special.

We visited Restaurant 100 on Edinburgh's Princes Street for lunch! The views of the Castle, were hampered by scaffolding & netting. I feel this should have been pointed out at the time of booking,as this is one of the selling points! The food was mediocre as was the service. I would say we'd almost stepped back into the 80's. The chicken soup had lumps of skin in & the trout was overcooked. The service was okay but the staff were discussing separating laundry as we dined. I won't rush back!

Restaurant 100 Edinburgh. Food was ok but not really exciting. Was very much like what I call hotel food. Be aware that there is scaffolding in front of the restaurant and your view of the castle is very restricted.

Restaurant 100, Edinburgh - Food was excellent as was the setting, however the service was not great - a bit stuffy I felt and forced friendly. Great value however!

We had a set menu at the Restaurant 100 in Edinburgh. It was a lovely menu each course complemented the other. The service was also outstanding. We will certainly return to the restaurant to sample the full menu on offer.
