About Souk Bazaar

It must be those of us who are too young to hit the hippy trail have a secret hankering to get away from it all in a kaftan. However, instead of jumping on a ferry from Southern Spain and heading for North Africa, we do it in our lunch hours and head for the nearest North African restaurant. Souk is very much like stepping into Morocco - all low seating, cushions, low lighting and vibrant colours. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening they lay on belly dancing, and there is a dj after 11pm every night except Sunday and Monday. Very Moorish if you are looking for a cheerful, cheap venue in the centre of town.

Had a really lovely evening at Souk Bazaar it is one of my favourite restaurants in the area as it is very cosy ..... great for romantic night!!!! We had a sharing platter which was perfect and fun to eat together.... recommend this place to anybody who likes something a bit quirky.

Good food, friendly service and fun atmosphere

We just went for appies and drinks, thought it was kind of a lounge/restaurant - turns out the lounge is upstairs, and our reso was downstairs. Would have preferred to be upstairs.

Absolutely amazing!

Souk Bazaar, a moment's stroll from the bustle of Covent Garden Leicester Square is an oasis of calm and relaxation, where hours can pass and seem like minutes, and the world outside is easily forgotten.

The quirky layout, with low ceilings, narrow corridors and stairs, and dining rooms tucked away around corners adds to the feeling of being transported to the heart of Marrakech, and seeking refuge in the shade from the glaring sun.

Food is very reasonable, plentiful, and delicious. GO!

Souk Bazaar was excellent. We had a table downstairs, very cosy and friendly staff. The food choice was a bit limited but only because we were there on Valentine's Day night and there was a set menu. Belly dancer who came out half way through the meal was a nice touch!! Good size portions, little bit expensive but worth the money for the experience.

I was testing this restaurant out with a view to take a larger group here in a month, I thought the menu was rather overpriced, and the service was pour. My Champagne cocktail was flat, and then they brought us the wrong bill at then end of the evening. Needless to say, I'm not now bring a group here. The food was alright, but not worth the price

Great atmosphere, a bit pricy; but worth it.

Souk bazaar is a great find on Litchfield street london. We went early and we were the only ones in the place which was fine as it felt like we had a private room. We choose a feast for two, olives and warm pita bread first then a mixed platter of starters which where all fab, then a selections of mains and cous cous which again all tasted amazing. We finished with a selection of pastries and mint tea. Everything was spot on and we will go back TRY!

Enjoyed meal at Souk Bazaar, leicester square. nice ambience and decent food.

Souk Bazaar - London We had the royal platter to start. The Zanouk was really tasty, however I have had better babaganoush. For mains my husband had the Lamb tagine with apricots and prunes and gave it a thumbs up. I opted for the vegetarian moussaka, The portion size was much smaller than expected and again the flavours could have been better. Overall it was a good meal with excellent service.

Souk Bazaar 16 Dec.2011 . This is the best restaurant in UK !!! everything just excelent!

We explained that we were off to the theatre and needed rapid service, this they did and we were out on time. the food was rather cold, and the meet from the set menu fatty but very tasty

Nice place with lots of potential. Restaurant itself is great but you walk through a kitchen/bar type area to get to it and this is a bit scruffy. Toilets are grim too and when we went, the ladies door was hanging off one hinge.

Food was OK which is a shame since Tagine based food is generally amazing. Had all the right ingredients in it but somehow the flavours just didn't gel.

Very good would highly recommend this place

Souk Bazaar is just a few minutes walk from Leicester Square tube station and is a quiet looking place, dimly lit from the outside. Make your way downstairs and follow your nose as the gorgeous smells float up the steps guiding you. Entering the seating area through the curtains you are met with shallow seating and more dim lighting making this a slightly different dining experience. We loved it. Food was fab and atmosphere great.

Souk Bazaar is a great placel to take a date. We had a little alcove to ourselves and the food, as always, was delicious. Cocktails could have been a bit better but the staff were very friendly too.

Souk Bazaar, London

Great atmosphere! We were in a underground cave setting and a belly dancer came around for entertainment. Great tasting food and they kept asking us if we wanted more for free!

Absolutely gorgeous venue, great atmosphere and with excellent service. Really had a fabulous time with a couple of girlfriends.

Souk Bazaar in Leicester Square was a gem of a find. Great food, friendly service and a warm atmosphere made for a memorable night out. Definitely going back.
