About Terre a Terre
Just a stones throw from the seafront, the award-winning Terre a Terre is one of the most popular vegetarian restaurants in Brighton. It was first opened back in 1992 by chefs Amada Powley and Philip Taylor and has been pushing the boundaries of meat-free cooking ever since. Popular with local veggies and ladies-who-lunch, their menu is a world away from boring ‘rabbit food’ and continues to impress with its creative flavour combinations. The team take their inspiration from around the world so diners can enjoy dishes like butternut squash and feta ravioli; chilled soba noodles with smoked tofu; and channa chaat – a spiced poori layered with smashed potato and chickpeas. Their wines and spirits are all organic and the restaurant also caters for vegans and gluten-free foodies.
