About The Lofty Turtle

The Lofty Turtle, located on the Upper Richmond Road West, takes its cue from the laid back vibe of moneyed New York beach retreat the Hamptons.

The result is a blend of glamour and relaxation - the retro styled interior boasting black Chesterfield settees, reclaimed deco cinema seats and stage lamps and opulently upholstered ottomans, it’s the perfect setting for The Lofty Turtle’s classic and cult movie projections, 80s arcade games and pool table.

The Lofty Turtle’s food selection is appropriately classic American, not only offering great burgers and steaks but super salads and classics taken from throughout the fifty states of the USA.

Just as much thought has gone in to the drinks menu here, with spirits from local award-winning craft distillery Sipsmith, over sixty craft beers from throughout the world and a wide array of cocktails and wines too.

Great vlaue meal at the Lofty Turtle in London SW14

We have been to the Naked Turtle in East Sheen on several occasions. This was our first visit to the rebranded Lofty Turtle and (alongside the nakedness of the turtle, the jazz singing waitresses) it seemed that the restaurant had lost its distinctive New York deli-style charm. The toptable offer is still good value but the menu was far more limited, the portions smaller and we had to ask for our complementary Cava.

Very nice meal with lots of choice given it's a set menu. Really good value too. The beer menu is extensive with some interesting craft beers that are definitely worth a try.

Service and atmosphere are excellent. The food is ok, but it would be good to see hand cut chips and homemade beer battered onion rings, rather than frozen stuff. But the service was so excellent, it made up for it!

Another good evening at the Lofty Turtle. This was my 2nd visit since it changed from the Naked Turtle (which I preferred). Since the change the menu has been simplified, but the food is cooked well. Ambience was good for a week day. Live acoustic music was being setup as we left. TT deal makes the visit worth while. Might only pop in for a drink otherwise.

We had a nice meal at The Lofty Turtle in East Sheen though it wasn't quite what we were expecting. It is very casual and laid back. The menu is simple but the food was very tasty, especially my husband's burger. Great selection if imported beers and wines and impeccable service by a friendly, unobtrusive Scottish waitress.

We went to the Lofty Turtle in Sheen on a Friday night and it was excellent. The casual dining was a nice experience and the food was very nice. Would definitely revisit it especially with the offer of 3 courses and a glass of fizz for £15!

The Lofty Turtle was busy Friday night, packed actually, and has a nice restaurant area. The food was nothing special, the dessert was great, home made ice cream and a steal on the toptable deal.

We went to the Lofty Turtle on the 3 course £15 toptable deal. Not very impressed as I dont think it was a good value for the money. Our main courses werent very good quaility and there also wasnt a good selection on the menu. The place is slightly dirty/run down and its more of a pub atmosphere. But overall The staff were very friendly and the service was good too!

We all enjoyed the evening at The Lofty Turtle, East Sheen. Very quiet as it was a Monday. The food was very good but 3 starter portions of Calamari were rather small and of different sizes but very tasty. The best burger I have ever eaten, fish was very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We had a great Friday night dinner at the Loft Turtle. The £15 offer made it good value for money. Loved the pecan pie! We will come back again for the offer.

Unfortunately food has really gone down since the change from Naked to Lofty Turtle. Menu now extremely limited and food that we had was poor quality and not well cooked. Would only return now for drinks which may be what is intended with the new set-up

Service was good. The waitress we had was friendly and the food arrived promptly.

Although, the food it self was basic, it was tasty. The offer we had was very good, but I am not sure I would pay full price.

The ambience of the restaurant was good and I will definitely be going back! Next time i will try their cocktails.

Went on a Tuesday night, was very quiet, but meant service was very good. Although, I'm sure it's good on busy nights! I had the Top Table offer which was very good value. My 2 friends decided to order off the menu. Overall a lovely night and a lovely restaurant. Would love to go back on a weekend to see it in full flow.

The Lofty Turtle was great value for money, especially on the Top Table deal. There was a great atmosphere with the music and the number of people.

Went to the Lofty Turtle on a Thursday to celebrate my birthday. We had the Toptable offer of three courses plus a glass of bubbly for 15. The place is really excellent value for money (including 2-4-1 cocktails!) - lovely place with great food, service and decor! 10 out of 10!

The Lofty Turtle was fantastic, really friendly and really helpful. The couple that run it are doing a fantastic job. The food was fantastic and the service was brilliant, very well priced too. I highly recommend The Lofty Turtle, 10/10

Will definitely return.

We went to The Lofty Turtle on a Thursday evening for dinner using the special offer. The food was good and enjoyed all round. Good portions, especially when dining on 3 courses!

Excellent value for money as the deal, great service and lovely decor!!!!!
