About Whits

Abingdon Road’s Whits, just off of Kensington High Street, has all the hallmarks of a great neighbourhood restaurant. Beginning with a welcome which warms the cockles of even the hardest nosed of Londoners, its difficult not to be bowled over by Whits’ charm offensive. Light and airy, with a conservatory feel and unpretentious furnishings, the dining room has an informal atmosphere which suggests that you really are as welcome to linger for hours over a glass of wine as you are to grab a quick dinner between meetings. The daily changing menu offered by the Whits kitchen is primarily French in flavour but you’ll nonetheless find surprising touches of anything from Hungarian to Italian adding international flavour to the always surprising dishes. We guarantee you’ll be back for more.

Whits in Kensington is a lovely restaurant with great food and it was buzzing last night. We have been before as a couple and with friends. It is the first time i have used it for a business meeting ....and it was great for that too

Great good and really good service. Had the trio of lamb for mains and another trio selection fir desserts - all wonderful. Despite visiting on a really wet and miserable evening the restaurant was busy. Would recommend to others.

Visited Whits in Kensington with 6 colleagues on the 18th April 2012. What fantastic food and amazing homely service. Great quality food at a really reasonable price matched with excellent service. First time I've ever received three texts on the way home because my team liked the food and ambience so much.

Ava and team we will be back.

Very friendly service. Duck was delicious. Definitely return.

Great food and service. Will return.

Whits, Abingdon Rod, Kensington Very personal and attentive service and excellent food. A replace to revisit.

Very reasonable food and friendly service. Prices good

We dined at Whits in London on Saturday 26/2 and although we had only booked for 2 people, when my daughter & friend arrived they happily increased the table to accommodate the 4 of us. The meal was lovely and the atmosphere terrific. The hostess was friendly & charming as ever and the evening was a great success. Food there is consistently good and the souffles are to die for! We will be back.

This was our first visit to Whits and I would strongly recommend it . Our only comment is that the helpings are too big and it is a shame to leave such delicious food!

Booked a table for 2 at 7:30pm on a Friday evening. We enjoyed a frinedly welcome and service continued at the highest standard all through the evening even when the restaurant got busier. The food was a joy...the Lobster and Scallop Ravioli and King and Queen Scallop Risotto were delicious (the latter appeared small on the plate but in fact was perfectly filling). For dessert we tried the Assiette of Lemon and Warm Spiced Pumpkin Tart....unusual but fun and inventive. Will return to try more!

Whits is a fantastic little restaurant just off Kensington High St. The food was exquisite and wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin-starred restaurant, and the service couldn't be faulted in the slightest. Will definitely be back soon.

A wonderful neighbourhood restaurant, friendly and unpretentious, serving excellent food. Very relaxed atmosphere and personal service.

The charming hostess of Whits is the restaurant's key selling point. Sitting down one notices plenty of regulars, with whom she seems to have an easy rapport. The restaurant has limited tables, assisting in the more intimate ambience. Finding a cheap eaterie in Kensington is tough, so it's little wonder that a three course meal with wine for two came was just under £100 (a la carte, there was a cheaper set menu), which provided food that was inventive with favourites, and tasty to boot.

Outstanding meal at Whits - superb imaginative and brilliantly cooked and presented food in a lively, comfortable atmosphere.

Whits is a small cozy restaurant in Kensington. My friend and I were warmly welcomed by the hostess (and server) and had a wonderful meal. The Scottish fillet was delicious, and my friend enjoyed the venison. The coffee creme brulee dessert was delicious -- but should be shared between 2 people -- very rich and big portion! All in all, a place I would happily return to -- and recommend.

Great night out - excellent service, ambience, menu selection and food. Will definitely come back.

Great service, lovely food, a wonderful vibe and happy customers. Top marks!

Whits Restaurant Kensington London

On weekend break with five girlfriends and booked this restaurant at last minute but I am glad we did. We had a very warm welcome and the food was delicious the only complain I would have is that the portions are big.

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting or indeed living in the Kensington area.

Enjoyable on all levels

Charming local restaurant. Excellent and friendly service, delicious and creative food.
