We enjoyed my birthday celebration meal at Branca Oxford and were given the table we had requested. Thank you.

We visited Branca in Oxford last Saturday. Unfortunately I was disappointed with my fishcakes, they were not as good as they usually are and I have had them a few times in the past! The rest of the meal was good.
Great evening at Branca. Service and food excellent.
Branca oxford, good food, good wine, and good company. the staff were attentive and friendly and the food delicious. it was very busy ( a good thing) and yet still personal. will def be back
Took my mum to Branca for mothers day and she loved it. Really friendly service and lovely lamb
noisy!,too much so! bad start with our party of 4 on a table for 2 in front of the toilet, we were moved without hassle, orders taken promptly, starters varied from barely adequate (squid) to the tasty but needs better presentation (pecorino salad), main course pizza was bubbling and crispy as it should be - bream was overcooked but with a fantastic saffron mash - overall nothing out of the ordinardy - evening saved by a good value cocktail list and a FANTASTIC waiter
Always a great atmosphere, consistently good food and service makes this our Oxford favourite. Jamies Italian should look and learn
Branca in Oxford is a very pleasant and busy restaurant at lunchtime. The Italian menu is fairly short and contains few surprises but the quality of both the ingredients and the cooking is first class. My seared tuna with canellini beans and salad was perfect and the profitteroles for dessert were also freshly made and again with a good quality chocolate sauce. Again the wine list is short but this is a bistro lunch destination and judged on those standards it's excellent. Definitely recommended
Excellent meal, efficient, friendly service. Only downside is that it can become a little noisy!
Branca is a very stylish restaurant in the heart of Oxford. Great food and atmosphere.
I always enjoy Branca and although the food was very good, I found the temperature of the restaurant a little on the chilly side so was difficult to enjoy the whole experience. I was also not sure about the music choice -Toyah Wilcox??!!
Very nice restaurant.good atmosphere and the linguine was great.
We ate dinner at Branca, in Oxford, on the 18th of December. We started with a 'tapas style' sample of some of their starters. The food was perfectly edible, but I feel the beef in our rare beef salad was far from rare, the mozzarella was tasteless and soft... In general, every dish had a small flaw. My main was a pizza. Tthe base was overdone, but the toppings were very good. My partner ordered a salad with a seared tuna steak- excellent. Dessert was very good- esp. the creme brulee!
Excellent burger and service.
Keep going back - excellent food and value for money
As always Branca in Oxford was great, lovely food, good service and great atmosphere! Loved the new outside area, can't wait for next summer!
Best Italian in Oxford. Best taste, best service. Don't bother going anywhere else. Gets noisy at busy times.
Hands down this is the best brunch in Oxford. Branca's foccaccia alone is worth the trip, but so is the bacon. Very, very family friendly, but it can do romantic Sunday mornings with the papers too. Their orange juice is too pricey but otherwise they are the perfect brunch spot.
They have changed the menu so that my favourite dish - butternut squash ravioli with hazelnut butter is no longer available! Still one of the best Italians I have been to.

awlful! dont go
The food and ambience were nice, I enjoyed the 3 course set dinner.
we visited Branca in Oxford post theatre and it was useful to be able to order after 10 pm. The food was good but the restaurant was noisy and cold, from the air conditioners.
Good food but a very noisy atmosphere, where the balance between backgound chatter and noise levels is difficult but people were moving tables to avoid the noise levels.
Great location, light, buzzy eaterie, with a friendly welcome, but did have to wait a long time to place our order and when you have a limited lunchtime that ain't great. But good value on the lunchtime deal and the food when it did arrive, was good and served with a smile.
Branca in Oxford is an Italian restaurant. We thought the food was very good to excellent and the atmosphere positive. Service was attentive and the only negative was a rather rowdy stag evening crowd at the next table. I would definitely go again.
Branca Oxford, Meal good as ever, noise probably at its highest but still fun!
Good ambience, decent food, attentive service.
A serious disappointment. Apart from the nice interior & good dessert the rest was a major major disappointment.
Table wasnt ready when we arrived - waited 15 minutes. Starter - mixed tapas - was flavourless. Mains - tuna and steak was unbelievably salty - the waiter confirmed that a new sous chef had been taken on (before refunding the mains). The waitress didnt point out that the steak did not come with sides so I had a steak only + spinach I had luckily ordered.
Good value for lovely food. 25% discount on take away pizzas.
Branca in Oxford- Excellent service, beautiful food. will definitely return and very happy to recommend.
Branca - Oxford on a Thursday night was busy. Service was excellent (Clive was really helpful) and we took advantage of the specials for main and desert. The calves liver was excellent as was the banana cake. Probably the best food we have ever eaten at Branca.
Really great. We were very happy and the attention to detail was also there.
Very attentive, friendly staff, very pleasant environment.
Only downside was the price of the soft drinks and the size of the bottles.
My Fiancee and I had a meal here and while we both liked the venue and the feel of the place we were both quite disappointed with the food. We also found it rather pricey for what we got - steaks were over cooked and should have been med rare + were fatty and tough. At £17/pop + no sides (chips and veg were extra) I would be expecting a little more quality.
Personally, I'm still on the look out for other resarants after Branca and won't be eating there again in a hurry.
A wonderful Authentic Italian resturant with tasty options for vegetarians and cute, friendly waiters!
Branca in Oxford delivered its usual high standard. Food was great, with a nice selection of specials on the blackboards. We went on a Tuesday evening and it was pretty empty with fewer than 10 customers. I put that down to a cold, wet Tuesday night in March and the middle of a recession rather than Branca itself!
Branca, Oxford. Good value, excellent foccacia, and lovely quality of friendly service. Very family friendly at Sunday lunch.
Branca, in Oxford: I took my Husband here for his birthday. The ambience and set up is really nice and I liked the look of it. The starter was really lovely and we were looking forward to the main meal. I had the Ravioli with butternut squash, spianch and ricotta. Found it too rich. Husbands pizza was nice but a little on the sweet side. Nice, but not the nicest italian. I prefer Coco's food. Service was ok, nothing to shout about. Just basic. Quite noisy but can still talk, Overall ok,
Branca Oxford, offers a good selection with a few dishes off the norm of bistro style restaurants. Good food and service. Try to get a table by the wall the ones in the middle are a bit noisy.
Lovely meal, lovely surroundings
Excellent as ever. Really good value and fantastic food
Excellent meal in vibrant atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. Braised beef was fabulous.
Food was awesome, service was great bar the fact we had a waitress hovering around us towards the end of the night hinting us to hurry up, understandable as we were the last ones in there! Parking was a bit of an issue, but managed to find a space seventually down a side road. Would reccomend this place and revisit earlier next time!
A nice all-round experience, good food, atmosphere and polite staff.
Second time I've been to Branca, Oxford and first time in eight years - and it didn't disappoint. Good, friendly service; tasty food and plenty of it - tasting menu of puddings is a great idea. Seemed a bit quiet when we arrived but it filled up very quickly.
Have been here before and always impressed with food and service. On this occasion, our waitress was stroppy and inattentive. We had to remind her twice to bring wine to the table and when we had to wait an hour for our puddings, no apology was offered.
Pizza and fishcakes very nice. Pudding taster quite good and very generous. We shared between 3 and it was too much. Particularly recommend the chocolate torte with pistachio ice cream and the meringue.
Excellent friendly staff made us feel very welcome adn they coped really well with special dietary requests. Relaly enjoyed our visit and would thoroughly recommend
