Fabulous deal. We decided to go with the offer and there were plenty of opions on the menu. Fabulous and will definitely go back when in Manchester. Chocolate dessert was heavenly.

The food was pleasant although not to the same standard of other fine dining experiences. The vegetarian starter (poached eggs with potato salad) didn't work and was rather bland and the vege main could been better thought out.
The restaurant was in the basement and felt very claustrophobic which wasn't helped by the excessively dim lighting. We couldn't wait to get back above ground. All in all a fairly mediocre experience.
great value lunch meal for £15.95. Excellent food; wine a bit pricey
Visited Michael Caines at ABode in Piccadilly, Manchester and found the food was excellent and very good value indeed. Really Great experience and have reccomended to others
Michael Caines at ABode Food was good, we had the tasting menu. The crab ravioli was a little bland but overall the food was tasty and well presented. Only problem was the service, I appreciate it was a Saturday night and the place was packed but the description of each course by the " head waiter" was peremptory and if he could have said it any quicker he'd have broken the world speaking record. Also the "attentiveness" of the waiters was almost oppressive. In conclusion, nice place but chill
food portion is too small. overall is good
We went to Michael Caines at ABode in Manchester to try their lunch offer 3 courses for £14.50. While the service was very good and proffesional and the not that good food could be excused for the price we paid, we fell that the ambience was too convencional i.e. a bit boring. The restaurant is in a basement so there's no windows and the lighting is quite dark with no major features to see. Overall, its good enough to try and make your own conclusions...
Portions to small for al a carte menu very nice but not enough would go with the grazing menu like last time left feeling like I had my moneys worth
Excellent service. Food was great.
Chose Michael Caines at Abode and the early dining menu 3 courses for £25. Cannot fault the food-we loved it. We were sat at last table by kitchen. The bright light shining into dark restaurant was distracting. We were in the walk way of service and I didn't like it. £26 for a half bottle of Rioja, although very nice was silly. Good choice for everyone on early dining menu. Think the pastry chef has a gift - the chocolate coulant was exquisite as was turkish delight on petit fours
I went to Abode Hotel Manchester with my husband to celebrate his 30th. We had the tasting menu with wine, and both the food & wine was absolutely delicious. There were 3 absolutely stand out dishes which I would say will stay in my memory for a long time. The wine matches were sublime. However, we were disappointed by the service, when we arrived we were left with no drinks for too long, the sommelier didn't talk us through our last 2 wines, and the wine often arrived after our food.
Michael Caines at ABode... SPOT ON! Amazing Graze Menu... small taster dishes, could seem a little pricey, but with matched wines and all the wine info from the waiter, top quality ingredients, excellent interior, it's worth every penny... well done. Loved it. :)
A very pleasant experience. Food delicious, service and ambience the best.
Food at Abode Manchester was excellent, we went for the 5 courses and matched wine, which all went perfectly
After hearing good things about Michael Caines ABode restuarant in Manchester we decided to visit on a Friday night when our concert was cancelled at Bridgewater Hall. The food was first class and certainly made up for our earlier disappointment There are a number of ways to order your food and we decided to try the tasting menu where you are advised to pick three dishes at least, my wife only choose 3 and wished that she had choosen more as each dish was inventive, tasty and well cooked
Great food and great service
Michael Caines, Manchester - excellent food and wine in smart restaurant. We had the "grazing" menu - should have had 4 courses and specified the order in which they should appear, each course was minute but very good. Have already re-booked. Service attentive but overdone.
Went to Michael Caines on a Monday lunch. Ive eaten at about 30 Michelin star restaurants and I feel this lunch menu is nearly as good some of the 1* restaurants in London, and much cheaper. I can't fault this for the price (even though it's recently gone up from £20, to £23.50 fo 3 courses + 3 paired wines). You get 3 decent types of bread aswell. The service is not quite as good as a 1* place in London though, and I think that's why it's not got a star. FAULTLESS LUNCH DEAL.
Dined at Michael Caines (Manchester) on Saturday 17th March. Food Delicious. Staff attentive and pleasant. A really good evening. Will definitely go again if I am in Manchester.
Food was excellent even if the portions were a little on the small side. Unfortunately the service was way too slow.
Michael Caines at ABode. The ABode Hotel, 107 Piccadilly, Manchester, M1 2DB This is the second time we are visiting the Abode in the space of a month. Easy menus, good food and they are able to cater for a large group (we were 20!)
michael caines at abode manchester. fantastic meal on a tuesday evening. the dining room was relaxed but busy with well spaced tables. the grazing plates option (where you could chose) were an excellent idea - we had 2 starters and 2 mains and gives a chance to try some different dishes- excellent value for this quality. service was attentive but not overbearing.
Excellent - I will advise anyone who can to take advantage of the Amazing Graze offer at Michael Caines' ABode. The food was heavenly, the selections well thought out and presented, the ambience brilliant and the service exactly what you expect! I will be using toptables for my next reservation very soon.
The Michael Caines at ABode is a definitely a special place - although it doesn't currently have a Michelin star, the food is outstanding, as is the treatment from the staff. You should certainly save this one for a special occasion however as the price reflects the quality of the food and of the service.
My girlfriend and I visited Michael Caines at ABode in Manchester, we chose from the early evening menu which was £21.50 for three courses. The food was excellent as we expected with smooth service and we enjoyed the fact that the manager took the time chat with us about the wine when we were unsure which to choose. It is at the high end price wise, but worth it as it was a great evening, we would highly recommend and will be going back!
Excellent tasting menu
The Amazing Graze lunch at Michael Caines ABode restaurant in Manchester was excellent. The portions were small but full of flavour and perfectly cooked. Would take advantage of the option to include wine with each course next time.
Delicious meal, outstanding service. The desserts were unbelievable...
As usual, the food (whilst small portions), was delightful, the waiters attentive and the ambiance very pleasant. The set menu doesn't come with sides which does bump up the cost if you have two sides per meal (£7) but even this doesn't leave any bitter taste. Very nice - with champagne and a party of 3 we spent over £180 so it's not an inexpensive night out, even using top table discounts, but it's certainly a good one.
Pleasant staff, excellent service and delicious, beautifully presented food although my husband found the portion sizes too small and filled up on the bread! For 2 people we would have preferred a smaller, more intimate table but all tables on offer were circular and able to accommodate 4-6.
Another great lunch - menu changes weekly with equally high standards. The artisan bread basket is the cherry on top!
Fine dinning at its best. Good service an dfine fresh food.
Excellent meal at Michael Caines at Adobe Manchester!
Michael Caines at Abode This restaurant was well located in Manchester City Centre and was very welcoming. The staff totally attentive, though they should be as they put 12% service charge! But it was earned. The food was of a very high standard though not plentiful and the cocktails were good. All in all a very nice experience.
We went to Michael Caines at Abode in Manchester on a Friday night for the early evening 3 courses for £21 deal. We arrived to the basement restaurant that was beautifully decorated. Staff took our coats, sat us in a lounge area to peruse the menus and have a drink. Though the early menu was meant for between 6-7, they did not rush us and allowed us to take our time. We made our way to our table at 7 and continued our evening with excellant service and delicious. Go if your in Manchester!!!!!!!!
Michael caines at abode Manchester
amazing graze menu fantastic food fantastic value
a good two hour experience
We ordered the 3 course Amazing Graze Menu and upgraded to have a glass of wine with each course. The food was delicious and the wine we were given matched the food perfectly. We also ordered coffee and the petite fours that came with it were excellent. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Overall the whole experience was fantastic - a little bit of luxury on a Friday afternoon!
Booked the restaurant at Abode, Manchester for a birthday celebration meal, how disappointing.Run of the mill, compared to Abode Exeter, which is excellent. The best dish was the amuse bouche! Shell in crab ravioli. Salted Hake too salty & undercooked (for Me). The Sommelier was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Good standard of service apart from the waiter who brought the food. He spoke too quickly and with a foreign accent and had to repeat everything he said(sometimes twice)
Ate at Michael Caines @ Abode in Manchester on a week night and had the early dining menu of 2 courses for £16.50. Service was good and ambience very pleasant. Food was delicious and of a high standard, but unfortunately one of the party had food poisoning the following day! She had the pollock so it may have been that. This will probably prevent us returning to this restaurant again in the future.
Michael Caines @ ABode, Quality food, Great Venue. Top Class Service. I'll be back!
Michael Caines at Abode - Manchester
Top drawer as always. We dined on the Amazing Graze menu which at £19 for 5 courses is unreal value. Don't expect quantity, but who needs it when you can be so utterly satisfied by the superb flavours that are created by this superb chef and his team.
Front of house are just as good as the kitchen. House cocktails are equally superb.
If you have never tried MC's you are really missing out.
We went to Michael Caines at Abode for our wedding anniversary. The restaurant itself is very ambient and we found the tables to be well spaced out, so no feeling of being crammed in. The staff were first class, explaining all dishes and keeping our glasses topped up, but without being over the top. The food itself was excellent, with every dish full of flavour.....just what you'd expect from a fine dining restaurant. We will definitely return on our next visit to Manchester.
Michael Caines at ABode. The ABode Hotel, 107 Piccadilly, Manchester, M1 2DB We were a large party and the venue was able to accommodate us and provide for various dietary preferences well.
It was an aunt's 80th birthday, she didn't like the main restaurant in the basement, no daylight and menu quite resticted, changed to the brasserie on the groung floor, food more appealing but not special, wine expensive. Staff very nice and accommodating.
Me and Hubby had lunch at Michael Caines at ABode Manchester. The Amazing Graze lunch at £19.95 for 3 course (incl matched wines) was excellent value. Quality produce cooked well and served in fantastic surroundings by attentive and knowledgeable staff. Couldn't fault it, will definitely come again!
Ambience is slightly footballer's wife, but the food is incredible. We picked from the grazing and a la carte menus. Grazing menu is a great idea and gives a good way to savour a range of dishes. Fantastic starters, crab meat raviolii tasted of the sea, while the sea bream and the scallops were exquisite. The saddle of venison could have done with more accompanying veg but the meat was velvety, melt in your mouth. Puddings were very good, some of the best sorbets we've tasted. Pricey though.
probably the best lunch we've eaten in Manchester. would definitely recommend and rebook. will have more courses next time too, as each dish was delish
Great value lunch - fine dining on small plates with finesse and precision. Feuilletine of roasted root Vegetable was stunning with natural sweetness, slow poached hake melted in mouth with the most fragrant chive butter sauce. Can't think of a better place to lunch in Manchester, especially with such a friendly price tag. Would definitely check back.
Three friends and I had the Amazing Graze 3 course lunch for £10.95 at Abode in Manchester recently. We decided to pay a further £9 to have specially chosen glasses of wine to accompany each course. The food and wine was exquisite, perfectly complimenting each other. The service was great, the staff explained each dish and described each wine. The venue was spotlessly clean with beautiful warm lighting. There was a great buzzy atmosphere. I will definitely be going again.
Five of us went to Michael Caines at ABode for a celebratorary meal and thoroughly enjoyed dining off the Early Evening Menu. There were three choices for each course and many of us would've gladly tried any of the options - all our plates were of the highest quality. Staff were welcoming and happy to adjust one dish to suit a diner's palate. Highly recommended and we will be returning.
