My husband and I are foodies and have been on a quest to find the best gourmet burger in London. The burgers at Boisdale would be up there. I love truffle so ordered the Truffle Burger, which was lovely. My husband prefers a meaty taste so found the tarragon in the Classic Burger too overpowering. The chips were nice but we've had better. Great ambience. Would take guests there. Good value with the 25% deal.

      Green's Restaurant and Oyster Bar

      Green's Restaurant and Oyster Bar

36 Duke Street, St James's, London, West End London SW1Y 6DF

Green's is practically an institution, and one that we cherish. From its clubby yet relaxed decor and ambience, to the shining freshness of its fish, Green's is unique among London restaurants. Fish dishes are perfectly cooked, whether practically unadorned, like grilled Dover sole, or beautifully sauced, like seared sea bass with saffron and fennel broth. Carnivores will delight in the highland venison, grilled fillet of beef, the bangers and mash or steak tartare.

Greens remains a favourite. It's slightly stuffy atmosphere is not for everyone, if you are comfortable with a clientele around you who would be as comfortable buying a shooting stick as they would an iPad, yo will enjoy the polite quiet chortling in the background. The food and service are formulaic but excellent.

I have been to the Narrow a couple of times before and took my parents along. Our Sunday roast was very tasty and the staff were friendly and helpful. We even got the corner table right by the river. I will continue to go, it is one of the best places to eat in the Limehouse area.
